The WSOP chip leader has stolen my heart

In doing this I’m believing everything he’s said and I’ve seen written about him – which is retarded of me but what the heck I want to believe

This guy has everything i don’t have but want. He’s totally comfortable in everything in his life and totally uncorruptable. He says he won’t take endorsments because he doesn’t want anyone being able to tell him what to do and claims he’s never going to play the main event again.

This is an ‘everyman’ for the ages. I’m dreaming and praying we get him vs Ivey in the head up. The poker snob and fanboy in me will pull like crazy for Ivey but how can you not root for someone like Darvin.

In other news I’m back in the UK trying to get back to normal life. I go through this nonsense everytime I come back from Vegas – as if I give two */£&s about normal life

Answering and writing emails, invoicing, catching up on work it’s all edge of the seat stuff

i’m taking a break from playing for a week or two due to being pokered out from playing a ridiculous amount in Vegas. also despite being really happy with how i’ve played the last 2 months I’m disappointed with my results so want a break to prevent feeling ‘ground down’

going back home now to see some long time friends and my family – those are the bits of ‘normal life’ that really rock!
