EPT Final News – (Tax free)

I’m writing from the EPT final in Monte Carlo. The ballroom where they play it out is a pretty classy gaff.

Monte Carlo is a strange place. It’s reasonably pretty and has some great bits to it but it’s also not quite as good as you’d expect. It’s a bit like going to a really fancy restaurant and the decor’s all super classy but the food is….you know….fine. I think the thing that confuses me is that if I was super rich I wouldn’t come here. I mean everyone else is super rich … or super super rich – whats the point why not go somewhere where you can buy a country and be a god?

Anyway funniest price so far – club sandwich in my hotel + room service charge £31 ….nice. They’ll be others by the end of the weekend

The poker is monstrously big (2+ million euro first prize) so the final table should be exciting tomorrow.
