More 100/200 PLO, more frustration…
March 6, 2009 by Brian Townsend
I just finished a very frustrating 100/200 PLO session in which I lost 45k. I won 10k at 25/50 so I ended the day down 30k, which puts me up about 10k for the month. Games have been really slow the past few days, which as been fine as I have been getting settled.
Games broke right after this hand. Hands like these are really frustrating when you are down 160k in 1k hands at 100/200 PLO on the year. Its probably a good thing the games broke because I was about to tilt.
Here is a really marginal hand where I think I could have taken a better line. I spoke with a few great plo players who all agreed a flop lead would be best. Either way I don’t think my play is a massive leak, but in retrospect I do like a flop lead.
Here I get it in really well for a 40k pot…
Here I flop a strong draw…
Anyways I hope games pick up in the next few days as I am really looking at grinding some 25/50. I feel like I have a big edge in these 100/200 games, but thought of losing another 150 or 200k in them really depresses me.
